What Is an Air Fryer Timer?

An air fryer timer counts down the cook time for whatever you are making so nothing comes out soggy or burnt. Air fryers cook fast and hot, so a minute or two makes a real difference between crisp fries and dried-out ones. Pick a food below and the timer loads a typical cook time and a quick reminder, then counts down and chimes when your food is ready.

Air Fryer Cook Times

Most foods cook at around 375 to 400°F. These air fryer cook times are a starting point — thicker cuts and fuller baskets need a little longer, so check a few minutes early.

Shake or Flip Halfway

Small foods like fries and nuggets cook more evenly when you shake the basket about halfway through. Larger pieces like wings and salmon fillets do better with a flip so both sides crisp up. The timer's reminder line tells you what each food likes, so you know whether to shake the basket or flip before the countdown ends.

How to Use the Air Fryer Timer

Tap a food preset to load its cook time and reminder, or set a custom time with the minute and second inputs. Press Start to begin the countdown and Pause or Reset any time. When the timer hits zero it plays a chime so you can pull the basket right away. You can also press the spacebar to start or pause.
