How to Count Days From Today
Today counts as day 0, so 1 day from today is tomorrow and 7 days from today is the same weekday next week. To find 30 days from today, move forward 30 calendar days, crossing into the next month when you pass its last day. The calculator does this for you, including leap years. Any whole number of weeks from today always lands on the same day of the week as today.
Days vs Months: Why 90 Days Is Not 3 Months
Months have 28 to 31 days, so counting in days and counting in months give different answers. From January 1, 90 days lands on April 1 in a common year, but 3 months lands on April 1 as well only by coincidence. From June 1, 90 days is August 30 while 3 months is September 1. Contracts, notices and return windows usually say exactly which they mean. Use the unit menu above to switch between days, weeks and months. When adding months to a date like January 31, the result is clamped to the last day of the shorter month (February 28 or 29).
Business Days From Today
Choose Business days to count only Mondays through Fridays and skip weekends, which is how many shipping estimates, banking deadlines and legal response periods are measured. Public holidays are not skipped, so add a day for each holiday that falls in the range. To count the working days between two specific dates, use the business days calculator.
