How to Use the Yes or No Oracle
Think of a question that can be answered with a yes or a no. Type it in if you like, or just hold it in your mind, then tap the orb or press Space. The mist swirls and your answer appears. Your last five answers stay on screen until you leave the page, and nothing you type is sent anywhere or saved.
Yes or No Generator
Want a straight answer with no mystery? Choose Just Yes or No above and this page becomes a simple yes or no generator. Each answer is a 50/50 pick, like a coin toss with the words already filled in. Use it as a yes or no button whenever you are stuck between two options.
How the Oracle Picks an Answer
The oracle is a random decision maker, and it has no knowledge of your question. In Oracle mode, your browser picks a yes answer 40% of the time, a no answer 40% of the time, and an unclear answer 20% of the time, then chooses a phrase from that group. Asking the same question twice can give a different answer.
Good Questions to Ask
- Everyday choices - Should I order pizza tonight?
- Small plans - Should we go to the park today?
- Party games - Take turns asking silly questions out loud
- Classroom fun - Vote on a question, then see if the oracle agrees
- Getting unstuck - Notice whether you hoped for a different answer
Is the Oracle Real?
It's just for fun. The answers are random, so please don't rely on them for decisions about your health, money, safety, or anything else that matters. The most useful thing about a random answer is often your own reaction to it: if you feel disappointed, you may already know what you want.
