Build a Timer for Anything
Set any length from one second to 99 hours, give it a name, and press start. Nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. If you want it back tomorrow, copy the link — it opens with your duration and name already filled in, so a "Steep the tea — 3:00" timer is one bookmark away.
The Shareable Link
The Copy shareable link button builds a URL with your settings in it, like /timers/custom-timer/?t=3:00&label=Steep%20the%20tea. Anyone who opens it gets the same timer, ready to start. That makes it useful for:
- Sending a timer to someone - put the link in a message rather than explaining the length
- Bookmarking your regulars - one bookmark per routine, already named
- Lesson plans and instructions - link the exact timer a step needs
- Team rituals - a standing link for a stand-up, a retro round, or a timeboxed discussion
Naming the Timer Matters More Than It Sounds
An unlabelled countdown on a shared screen is just a number falling. A labelled one tells the room what is happening and what ends when it hits zero. If you are projecting a timer during a meeting, a lesson, or an exam, the name is doing most of the communicating.
How to Use It
- Enter hours, minutes and seconds - leave any of them at zero
- Name it if you want the label shown above the clock
- Press Start - press again to pause, and Reset to return to the top
- Go fullscreen for a projector or a second screen
- Copy the link to save or send this exact timer
Want Something More Specific?
If you know the length you need, the preset minute timers skip the setup entirely. For work and rest cycles use the interval timer, for something that restarts itself use the repeat timer, and for a big message on a projector try the fullscreen timer.
